Meet Karen

Karen began her yoga journey in 2012 as a way to increase physical activity. She quickly found that more than exercise, yoga is a way of life. 

Karen was certified as a 300 hr teacher in 2020 by the Yoga Association of Alberta. In 2022 she completed a year long workshop Breathing For Life: Pranayama and the Psychophysiology of Respiration with Richard Miller, the founder of iRest. 

Karen teaches a weekly breathing and meditation practice for her co-workers as well as a weekly pranayama practice for interested practitioners. 

Karen is grateful for the guidance of her wonderful teachers: Anita Sielecki, Erin Michie, David McAmmond, Lynnda Sharp, Richard Miller and Kavindu. Their wisdom, love and compassion have changed her life.
